Minimalist White Kitchen Designed by Bright DesignLab with THIN Surface Mounts
The kitchen and dining space of a 1969 treehouse in Portland, Oregon was remodeled by Bright DesignLab into a bright, multi-functional space for a couple who wanted to elevate their dining experience. The space was described to initially have three distinct areas, influencing them to merge contemporary architectural elements that tie together to design a large, cohesive space.
THIN Surface Mount Display Light with 2 Connected Segments in Satin Brass
The kitchen exhibits an all-white motif, from its clean white walls that stretch up to the European white modern cabinetry. Hints of brass were added throughout the space for depth, like the cupboards’ brass pulls with a knurled texture, mounted on a rectangular backplate. They connected 2 light segments of our THIN Surface Mount Display Light in Satin Brass and installed it as central under-cabinet lighting to cast a warm glow on the Carrara marble.
Black accents were distributed throughout the minimalist white kitchen to contrast the solid brass lighting and cabinet pulls while making a bold statement. The plumbing hardware by California Faucets is tinted in matte black, a popular style in modern interiors for its sophisticated appeal and also a strategic design that rids of evident fingerprints, especially in culinary spaces.
A concrete central island connects to a dark-toned countertop with slender, symmetrical legs, adhering to the linear profile of the space. They also customized organic-shaped bar stools to diffuse sharp lines and indicate a relaxing atmosphere when owners decide to transform the kitchen into a space beyond its purpose.
